The contents of three major English-language cartographic journals from Great Britain, Canada, and the United States were analyzed and compared to determine if there are significant differences among them. Results show considerable similarities in the publication of useroriented research and articles related to automated cartography. The three journals varied considerably in their publication record for historical cartography and several other relatively minor categories. The question of editors' influence on journal content was considered and input sought from representatives of the three journals in the study.Downloads
